Facebook Crap

Blog Marathon - Post # 4

The problem with people these days is that they post every single crap on their facebook wall (or timeline these days :-) ). Their posts are like "Cooking maggy... oh my god its so yummmyyy… I’m lovin it!!!” I would suggest them, guys no one gives a shit. Why don’t you update your status while brushing your teeth as well, just as "Brushing my teeth after 24 hours... yeaaah feeling great !!!" Dude nobody cares unless you are a girl. Yeah seriously man.

And the problem with girls these days, their statuses start with bit suspense. "Don't you dare to do this again". Or they just have to put a saddy “ :-( ” on their wall and after that, the troll starts. Guys keep on asking "What happened sweety?" for hours. And the reply comes. "Nothing, aise hi". What the fuq ????. I think this is the new entertainment channel for girls these days. Girls talk must be like this “You know… today I got 78 comments and 122 likes, I won today as  I got 10 likes and 20 comments more than you.”

And the new trend to help poor people. One picture of a poor little girl uploads with caption “Like if you are against hunger”. And people starts liking and within minutes that picture gets 10,000 likes, and people feel very proud.  It’s like their one 'like' will act as Rs. 100 note and directly reach to that poor little girl whose picture they are sharing.

Guys what happened to you ?? Post something meaningful, like I’m going to post this blogpost on my wall.

Gurgaon from my eyes

Blog Marathon - Post # 3

It’s been more than 10 months that I'm into this Electronic city. It’s a city of ambitions. People come here, build their dreams and live like what we call these days gangnam style. But today I'm writing what I have observed about this city. Here are some interesting facts about Gurgaon.

This pic is stolen from here
  • Gurgaon has no roots of its own. Almost everybody here is from different city. So nobody can actually claim that it is ‘his Gurgaon’.
  • Yesterday my landlord told her daughter that they are planning to visit Qutub Minar. Then that little daughter asked very cutely 'Mom which mall is Qutub Minar'. Sad but true. The only things to hang out in Gurgaon are Malls. If the weather is good, we plan to visit Malls. If the weather is bad, we plan to visit Malls. Almost every plan ended up to Malls in Gurgaon.
  • Window shopping, window shopping and window shopping. These are things we do in malls. Guys generally select things in stores at malls, come back home, browse online shopping websites, redeem coupons and buy the same things online.
  • Auto walas here will not kick start their auto until it is packed with at least 12 persons. Almost every auto wala has developed his skills to drive the auto by sitting on the side passenger seat because his own driving seat is already been offered to some other passenger.
  • Traffic is the biggest problem in Gurgaon. My small company has strength of 1000 and from 1000 I think 350-400 come by driving their own cars. It was an example of a small company. And in Gurgaon, you will find big companies like Infosys, TCS, Microsoft, and Google. Maruti has 28000 employees only in Gurgaon. You can easily imagine the traffic problem of Gurgaon.
  • In metro trains, if the person is alone, you will find earphone stucked into his ears. If he is not alone, you will find him preaching down his project managers. Every second person in Gurgaon is a software engineer.
  • In Gurgaon you will find more PGs than homes. PGs are the places where horrible food is fed to the peoples. And in search of eatable food, people keep on changing these PGs. The same apply on their jobs. In Gurgaon, people very frequently switch their jobs.
  • The buildings here are very fascinating. But I think after building all these buildings, Government got to know that they forgot to give drainage system to this city. Sectors get flooded with water on rainy seasons here.

Da-fuq moments of my birthday

Blog marathon - post # 2

When you are expecting a high volume beer party with all your best buddies rolling yummy chocolate cake on your face, but all you got a single tasteless sandwich and nothing else for whole damn day.

When just 5 minutes left for the train to departure and at that moment you got to know that Delhi railway station and New Delhi railway station are actually two different railway stations and you are standing on the wrong one.

When you have to wait for someone not just for 15-20 minutes but for 4 hours and there is nothing for time pass nearby. No mall, no theatre and not even a single shop because of Sunday.

When you are expecting a Shatabadi Express AC coach ride with romantic Danielle Steel novel, and all you got a crowded roadways bus running at 25 km/h.

But my whole day fret, irritation, tiredness gone in one second when finally I reached home at 11:45 pm and ate my Mom’s food after so long.

I still do childish things

Blog marathon- Post # 1:

I turned 25 this month. This year was very special for me as I stepped into professional life. But for me, I still find a child in myself.

Here are 10 I-STILL-DO-CHILDISH-THINGS facts about me.

·        I still chew my nails. I know it’s a bad habit but chewing nails give me power to think with supernova speed.
·        I still paste timetables. You can find weekly, monthly plans on my room's walls. Though I never follow ;)
·        I read Danielle Steel, Agatha Christie, PG Wadehouse but RK Narayanan, Munshi Prem Chand and Chetan Bhagat are still my favorite authors
·        Cricket is still my first priority. Radio commentaries, mobile score, cricinfo.com, ESPN are always activated around me.
·        Unlike my all other friends I am not a phone addicted person. Last month I sent just 4 sms' and my cell's battery lasts up to 15 days without charging.
·        Music Bands, Rock music, Jazz still don't fascinate me. I still like high beat bhangra songs and like to dance on its beats.
·        I still read Chacha Chaudhary and Pinki comics. Though I don’t find them in market, but I read online.
·        I still cry during an emotional scene in a movie. Last movie was 'Burfi' and I was actually crying in the last scene.
·        My mom still teaches me to say ‘namaste’ and ‘pari pona’ whenever I am going to visit any relative.
·        I still love maggi and may be the reason is this is the only thing I can cook.

Blog Marathon

This picture is stolen from here.
To keep myself focused and motivated for blogging, I decided to start blog marathon. This idea was wandering in my mind from few days and I think I should give it a shot. I am going to write 21 blog posts back to back, one post per day. Though marathon is of 42 kilometers but it would be great if I complete half marathon, because the kind of job I’m doing (9 to 9), it’s very difficult to get time for blogging. Let’s see if I’m able to complete 21 posts in a row.
I have not made a particular list of topics on which I’ll be writing. I will just write what my mind wanders while doing daily routine life things.
Thanks Preeti Shenoy for this lovely idea.
